4 cyclists secure place in Rio 2016 Summer Olympics

TEHRAN, Jul. 09 (MNA) – Iran’s Cycling Federation has named its 4 cyclists as official representatives in Rio 2016 Summer Olympics.

In Saturday morning session of the Technical Committee of the Federation, Khosrow Ghamari, the head of federation along with Manuchehr Rowshanpour, Asghar Khaleghi, Mehrdad Safarzadeh, and Mostafa Chaichi, other members of the Committee, met to address the cyclists’ performance in the Olympic qualifiers.

During the 2-hour meeting, 6 cyclists were examined in terms of results of medical tests and their technical performance during a preparation camp in Sarein, spa water and recreation city of Ardebil province. The Committee decided that Mehdi Sohrabi, Ghader Mizbani, Arvin Moazzemi, and Mir Samad Pourseyedi would represent Iran in Road and Time-trial sections of Rio 2016 Summer Olympics cycling. One of 4 cyclists will be reserved athlete.
